SCR GM Reviews Safety of Train Operations and Ongoing Developmental Work
Railway safety and development work reviewed
Hyderabad: SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain on Tuesday conducted a review meeting on Safety of train operations and ongoing developmental work of the zone at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, also participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions- Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.
During the review meeting, the General Manager advised the officials to strictly adhere to the safety rules and procedures. He instructed that regular counselling sessions along with
practical demonstrations of safe working practices should be provided to all safety category staff to avoid even the smallest untoward incidents. He also advised the officials to focus on intensifying the inspections to ensure safe passage of trains.
Arun Kumar Jain also reviewed the availability of fire prevention safety items like smoke detecting devices, fire extinguishers and so on over the zone. He advised the officials to ensure adequate stocks to meet any exigency.
